HOLBROOK - An Alabama man has been arrested in Arizona for allegedly trying to transport about 33 pounds of marijuana aboard a commercial bus.

Holbrook police say 48-year-old David Matthew Caterino, of Mobile, was taken into custody Sunday at the Greyhound Bus terminal in the northeastern Arizona town.

Police say a drug-sniffing dog alerted them to Caterino's luggage aboard the bus and authorities found marijuana worth an estimated $70,000.

Caterino was booked into the Navajo County Jail on suspicion of transporting marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He's being held on $45,000 bond.
